Josh’s nature-inspired sapphire design
I want something that feels like her.
When Josh reached out, he didn’t have a stone in mind. No Pinterest board. No reference rings.
What he did have was a feeling:
“I want something that feels like her.”
As we talked, he shared how much they both loved hiking together — peaceful trails, quiet forests, time away from it all. He even showed me a few photos from their favorite trips.
That’s when the idea clicked:
Let’s build a ring inspired by nature — one that feels like it was found in the forest, not made in a factory.
What followed was a true collaboration — and it led us to this stunning design:
A rare blue-green sapphire, hand-set in matte yellow gold, with a sculpted branch-like band that echoes the calm, grounded beauty of the woods they love.
From idea to pencil
With the nature theme in place, our designer began sketching.
We started simple — a clean band, maybe a leaf detail. But each version added something new.
A curve here. A twig texture there. Tiny leaves wrapping around the stone.
Soon, the ring started to look like something that could have grown in the woods.
The Sketch That Brought It All Together
After dozens of drafts, this was the sketch that made us stop and say

It wasn’t just beautiful — it felt like her.

From shaping the delicate 14K white gold band to setting each kite and round diamond with precision, every step was done by hand — no shortcuts, no templates.
Because we were also crafting the matching wedding band, we took extra care to ensure both rings fit together seamlessly, down to the curvature of the gold and stone positioning.
